CUUPS Meeting and Program Calendar June 2009

SUMMER SOLSTICE

Date: Wednesday June 17 Hobart Hall

Potluck Dinner 6 p.m. / Ritual 7 p.m.

In the northern hemisphere, the summer solstice is when the sun reaches its farthest point north of the celestial equator. This day has the greatest amount of time between sunrise and sunset making it the longest day and shortest night of the year. It is a time to celebrate the beauty of the flourishing earth and to appreciate all that is special in your life. Perhaps a time to make a pledge to Mother Earth to help improve the environment and other life in nature! Please join us as we celebrate the Summer Solstice!

What is CUUPS?

CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans): We are those who follow an earth-based spirituality within Unitarian Universalism.

Don’t forget that the Labyrinth is always open to enjoy. It is located near the center of the Holton Eco Preserve on the east side of the Fire Circle. We invite all to experience this peaceful setting!

And Another Thing...
"Earth mother, star mother, You who are called by a thousand names, May all remember we are cells in your body and dance together. You bring us around the circle to rebirth, within us you dance forever."
