The CoSM serves and ministers to both the members of the congregation and also to various other committees. It serves the congregation by observing and subsequently reporting on the functioning of the congregation’s various ministries. The committee acts in the role of an objective observational body. It offers the congregation and its standing committees a satellite or balcony view of the congregation’s functioning. Both positive observations as well as observation that suggest the need for improvement are noted. It also notes feedback from members of the congregation and reviews the congregation’s internal processes to ensure that the current organization is promoting the various ministries, and managing current problems and congregant recommendations that will promote the greater food of the congregation.
The Membership Team welcomes and supports all newcomers, prospective members, and current members and friends who wish to engage in our community. We assist our congregation in building and maintaining a welcoming, inclusive and dynamic community. There are many areas of service available to you within this vibrant ministry including greeting/ushering, assisting with the pre-service reception, following up with members, and much more.
